Origin Web Development was founded in 1999 as a partnership among several independent web developers, graphic designers, and information architects that wanted to focus on bringing the benefits of the Internet to small and mid-sized businesses that couldn't afford to hire the "big" web development firms. Over the past several years OWD has gone through many changes, most recently a change in our structure from a partnership to a corporation. Despite these changes, our initial goal is still in place. We work with small businesses, home-based businesses, individuals, and organizations. We provide the same types of services that larger development firms offer to Fortune 500 corporations, but we do it at a fraction of the cost.

The reason we chose Origin Web Development as our name is because the word "origin" reflects the nature of our business and the nature of the clients we work for. An origin is a starting point. Almost every company starts out small, hoping to grow eventually into the next General Electric or the next Microsoft. However, it's the challanges that a company faces when it is just starting out that usually determine whether or not it will survive and thrive. All of us here at OWD have at one point or another worked for Fortune 500 clients. We have the experience to help you with your web development needs and we can do it with the perspective it takes to understand the challanges you face as a small business.
